JOIN HOH

When you become a member of HOH, you will also get a membership in the American Humanist Association. As a member of AHA, you will receive a one-year (6 issue) subscription to The Humanist magazine, and the Free Mind newsletter. As a special bonus, new members will receive the book Humanism as the Next Step by Lloyd and Mary Morain. Members will also have a voting privilege in the AHA. 

In addition, you will also be helping your local Humanist group, the Humanists of Houston, continue to promote Humanist causes and values, and provide a community for Houston-area humanists, nontheists, and freethinkers! As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, your membership and donations are tax deductible. Annual dues are very modest:

Introductory Annual Membership: $35
Annual Membership Renewal: $45
Joint Annual Membership: $55

HOW TO PAY
Whether you are a new member, or you are renewing your dues, there are many ways to pay. 

1) In Person:
You can pay in person to an HOH officer (currently President Daniel Strain, Vice-President Sheila Finch, Secretary Jerry Harris, or Treasurer Ron Jones) at any of our many gatherings and activities.

2) By Check:
Another way to pay is to mail a check, made out to "The Humanists of Houston" for the amount listed above, to:

3) Online:
Perhaps most convenient and quick would be to pay online. To do this, simply go to the 'join AHA' web page by clicking the link below:

Additional Ways to Support HOH
In addition to your annual membership dues, there are some other ways you can support your local Humanist community...

1) Use our grocery store program
At no additional cost to you, you can have a portion of your grocery bill donated to the Humanists of Houston! Information on this is coming soon!

2) Purchase HOH merchandise
Not only does HOH make a little off the sale of T-shirts, mugs, buttons, etc., but you can also help to spread awareness of HOH and Humanism simply by wearing and using these items. Click HERE to shop at the HOH store!

3) Donations
You can also easily donate to HOH as you see fit by using the "Make a Donation" button in the left-hand menu sidebar of this website (scroll up to see).

4) Become an HOH Patron
While membership dues are very reasonable, some members may be willing and fortunate enough to contribute more. HOH Patrons elect to make payments of $20 per month to help fund important efforts such as advertising, events, and other programs. Click HERE to learn about the HOH Patron Program.
